CSR

Our Corporate Social Responsibility

With each decision made, be it directly related to a project or for our own internal operations, our aim is to strike a balance between efficiency and effect.  Whether with suppliers, customers, neighbours or employees, our values underpin our overall strategy as well as our day-to-day operations.

We expect high levels of integrity from everyone in our team, whether employed directly or sub-contracted during peak season. We have a policy of being fair and honest with customers and suppliers and take responsibility for our actions.

Our customers

Without our customers, we would not be Amazing! Our customers are at the forefront of our business. Those with an established corporate social responsibility can trust that we will adopt their requirements and will only choose to work with suppliers who offer the same. For those who do not have an established corporate social responsibility can rest assured that they, our suppliers and our employees, will be treated fairly and respectfully at all times.

We are passionate about what we do and whilst this can often be a small cog in a very large wheel, we endeavour to help our customers become high-performing businesses. We invest time in building long-term relationships, we are proactive in our approach and we consistently aim to deliver above expectation.

Our suppliers

Our suppliers help us keep the wheels in motion and therefore are integral to our overall operation. We seek out ethical, fair-trade suppliers wherever possible and we value these business relationships. We treat suppliers with the same fairness and respect as we treat our customers and employees.

Our team

There is no company without its people... each role is crucial to the ongoing success of our business. We have a formal employment contract, continually provide training and support and offer performance related incentives for high achievers.  We believe in an equal opportunities workplace and endeavour to go beyond the obligations set out in law in our recruitment, training and management processes.

Our environment

We care about our environment and in our own way are trying to make a real difference.  We are avid recyclers, bringing back all of our site waste for recycling at our warehouse. Our ongoing promotional and marketing activities are focussed on soft copy campaigns as opposed to traditional hard copy materials, but where print or stationary are necessary we use two firms, based locally to our HQ, who believe in the same principals we do. Severn Print in Gloucester are an environmental digital & lithographic company and The Green Stationary Company in Bath select products that are environmentally benign or have environmental advantages over the standard office products.

Uniforms for our installation teams are sourced from ‘green’ companies wherever possible – this season you will find our crew modelling the latest eco sweatshirts! These are made from organic cotton by WOMbat, a fair-trade ethical clothing company based in Bristol.

We make a consistent effort to minimise our power usage in both our depot and our offices where our supplier is locally-based national provider Ecotricity. We purchase locally wherever possible and we do not advocate a “throw-away” attitude, preferring to repair, re-use or recycle stock and equipment wherever appropriate. We invest wisely in new, high-quality stock (not made in China) and only when required.

A large element of our business involves travel and we encourage crew to either car pool or use public transport to reach base camp, then plan our vehicle movements efficiently. We are currently investigating the replacement of existing 4x4s with more efficient vehicles, whilst still providing the same pulling power for installations!

Accommodation is always sourced locally to site, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible and 99% of the time, crew overnights are at independent B&Bs or hotels as opposed to large chains. We promote work-from-home for our administrative team and the company recently invested in two bicycles to use for local commutes, weather dependant.

We continually review these systems, procedures and processes with a view to making improvements that will benefit both the services and support we offer, as well as our impact on the environment.
